The car is a Ford Mondeo 1.6 Edge on a 57 plate. Mondeo 2008 1.8 Diesel Titanium X Fuel gauge drops as normal to 1/4 full and comp reads 100 miles approx to empty After about 4 minutes of this the car almost didn't start (with the brand new battery). i decided to drive the car to the petrol station to get diesel and give the battery a bit of a charge. shortly after leaving home, my wipers started acting up again, randomly stopping in the middle of the screen (not at the service position) and then eventually became unresponsive, regardless of how much Worked it out! Procedure below for others who may not know. 1. Get in car ensure all doors are closed. 2. Press both the accelerator and the brake pedal and hold them down at the same time. Vehicle will not start if engine is hot. engine turns over but no throttle response. If I disconnect coolant temp sensor it will start when hot. In general the vehcle is lacking the power it should have. Using more fuel than should do. If i turn on fans electric window while idling, engine will appear to allmost stall. I cracked of the injector pipes and cranked over Cylinder's 1, 3 & 4 just dribble out but cylinder 2 fires out as you would expect it too. The program won't do any realtime info, like fuel pressure, it tells me it is a function not supplied by Ford. Does this diesel have an impact/fuel cutoff switch or not ?
