So it's either the 24-85 f2.8-f4 which offers macro capability and has a fairly sterling reputation. or the 24-120 VR which offers wider range, is slower but has VR (I love VR), but has a very mixed reputation. Tried many used lenses, and the 24-70E VR is a bit softer in the centre, but significantly sharper in the corners than the old 24-70G, for landscape photography i think is worth the exra money, but these are big heavy lenses, not easy to carry them all day long.
